Fire Rated Door - The Most Common Fire Door for Safe Escape

This year GISONTONE received an order from a Philippines buyer to produce a batch of customized rated fire doors. After communication and cooperation, the batch of goods was finally completed and began to be packed and shipped.

 

Traditional fire rated doors are swing doors that meet fire resistance integrity and thermal insulation requirements within specified time frames.

This means they can prevent the spread of flames and smoke in the event of a fire, buying time for evacuation and firefighting.

 

Features

Opening: Single or double-leaf casement windows, hinged, opening in the direction of evacuation.

Closing: Most doors and windows are equipped with door closers or sequence devices, automatically closing in the event of a fire.

 

Fire Resistance Rating:

Class A ≥ 1.5 hours

Class B ≥ 1.0 hours

Class C ≥ 0.5 hours

 

Material:

Typically steel fire doors.

Wooden fire doors (with internal fireproofing material) are also available.

Some fire doors are steel-wood composite doors.

In addition, there are PVC fire shutter doors. It is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material and a fireproof layer and widely used in places that need to be opened frequently or large areas of space are separated.

Thanks to the roller shutter design and can be rolled up at ordinary times, which does not take up too much space.

Compared with steel fire shutter doors, the price of PVC material is relatively low, which is suitable for projects with limited budgets.
